By helping organisations reuse existing application and infrastructure investments to create powerful and reusable Web services, Infologica's Fusion Framework lays the foundation for service-oriented architecture (SOA) and event-driven architecture (EDA). Specifically, Inflogica's Web Service Framework:
- Optimises utilisation of an organisation’s most skilled and expensive IT resources by reducing and encapsulating IT complexity.
- Eliminates most custom integration code
- Simplifies the skill sets needed for design, deployment, and maintenance of services
This mitigates project and maintenance risk, speeds project implementations, and reduces project cost as well as the ongoing cost and risk of maintenance. Ultimately, organisations benefit through faster delivery of cost savings and new revenue generation, easier business process changes, better management visibility into IT projects, and lower Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) for integration projects.
Every aspect of the Infologica Web Services Framework is designed around a completely modular architecture and they are all designed to be extended and adapted as your needs change and grow
The Web Services Framework is built on top of the .NET Framework and includes the following software components:
- WSF SOAP Listener – XML Security Gateway which intercepts and processes HTTP/HTTPS requests, validates client certificates, their proof-of- possession and message integrity, non-repudiation, decrypts the data, manages call context, invokes business components or routes the cryptographically endorsed messages to the internal or external infrastructure.
- WSF Infrastructure Service Adapters - provide Connectivity to the Backend Data and Business Services (Mainframe Oracle, SQL Server) as well as transparent messaging protocol, network transport, data formatting and serialization (SOAP, Http, Ftp, Tcp, Sms, FileSystem, Zip)
- WSF Service Manager – provides the unified command interface to the Infologica Infrastructure Service Adapters. Instantiates, Validates and executes service command against the backend service invoking the corresponding Service Provider.
- WSF System Core Library - provides generic API for data validation, message formatting, serialization, call impersonation, environment management.
- WSF Command Invocation Service – allows to execute command under the identity of authenticated account.
- WSF Log Storage Manager Service – Processes the incoming messages from the Message Queue and stores them in the SQL server or Oracle Audit Database.
- Microsoft IIS Server – hosts WSF SOAP Listener.
- MS Message Queuing Service - Provides a communications infrastructure for distributed, asynchronous messaging applications.
- MS Message Queuing Trigger Service - Associates the arrival of incoming messages at a queue with functionality in a COM component or a stand-alone executable program.
- Web Services Management Console – Allows for secure cross-environment management and deployment of the Web Services Configuration Settings.
- Web Services Audit/Log Viewer – provides web visual interface to the log/audit and performance information in the WSF SQL Server or Oracle Audit DB.
